For detailed information please see the relevant sections.
Best regards,
the edorasware team
Spring upgrade to 3.2.18
The following Spring dependencies were upgraded from 3.2.9 to 3.2.18 with reference to SPR-11979:
-
spring-beans
-
spring-core
-
spring-test
-
spring-jdbc
Attachment/upload improvements
We’ve made several improvements to the attachment and upload components, listed below. Also, meta information is no longer (erroneously) stored on the attachment variables.
Change attachment after an error occurs
We’ve fixed a bug that prevented attachments to be changed on the init form when an error occurred during creation. We’ve also cleaned up the handling of meta-data which was previously stored as variables on the Attachments.
Frontend bugs and improvements
"Required" on labels
On the labels of required fields, we’ve added the CSS class label-required-mark
.
You can use this to e.g. add an '*' to the labels, in addition or instead of the marker on the inputs.
Radio group empty value
While Strings and Numbers default to null
when empty, Radio groups defaulted to undefined
which caused inconsistent
behavior that is now fixed.
Improved error handling
We’ve fixed two unrelated cases of errors popping up, leading to a sub-optimal user experience:
-
When a user would tab into an autocomplete select, an error would be printed in the console.
-
When cancelling a form launched from a "create link", an error would pop up.
chain() performance
The edoras.chain()
method ensures that subsequent commands are run against a stable UI.
Stability is defined as no updates for a certain period of time.
We’ve decreased the default wait time period from 500ms to 200ms and made it configurable using
a one.properties
setting:
viewEngine.api.chain.debounceTime = 200
If e.g. Script Buttons that use the edoras.chain()
method behave erratic you may need to increase the debounceTime.
