Dear customer
In this release we improved the elasticsearch indexing and took some of the last steps with the View Engine. We made small improvements, such as creating non existing directories on startup and easier custom password validation and big ones, such as encoding sensitive configuration properties (passwords). But most of the work has been behind the scenes improvements or yet to be revealed in the next release!
For detailed information please see the relevant sections.
Best regards,
the edorasware team
Encoded property support
The edoras one Spring configuration loads properties that can be used to configure the application for a given environment. Sometime sensitive values need to be configured (such as user names or passwords) and storing these in plain text in the property files is a potential security risk.
This release adds the ability to encode sensitive values in a property file so that they cannot be read directly. Individual property values or complete property files can be encoded from the command line and the encoded version can be used in the production environment. The encoded values will be decoded automatically by edoras one when the application is started.
For details of how to work with encoded properties please refer to the edoras one Operator Guide.
Improved elasticsearch index support
The elasticsearch integration module now supports the indexing of work object definitions as well as work objects. An index configuration can now also choose to opt out of the synchronization process for either work objects or work object definitions completely.
For details please refer to the upgrade notes.
Support for blocking script buttons during execution
Now you can prevent the user clicking in the script button while it’s running. To do this you need to return an Angularjs promise in the last line of your script button code.
For fore information refer to the script button documentation
