Elasticsearch improvements
The processing of elasticsearch index updates has been updated. Indexing tasks are now created as jobs in the Activiti engine, meaning that the content to be indexed is persisted in the database and failed indexing jobs will be retried automatically. If a job cannot be executed even after a number of retries then it is still persisted in the database.
The number of retries can be configured by setting the elasticsearch.failed-job-retries
property (the default is 3).
The automatic index refresh on every update has also been removed to improve elasticsearch performance, but your indices may require a settings change to set a refresh interval to make sure that updates are included in the search results promptly. Please refer to the upgrade notes for more information.
