Dear customer
In this release we have introduced a level 1 cache for work objects. The cache significantly decreases database load during process execution. We also added optimistic locking for forms. Optimistic locking avoids concurrent modifications of the underlying data, solving the problem of overwriting changes without knowing it.
For detailed information please see the relevant sections.
Best regards,
the edorasware team
Level 1 cache for work objects
A level 1 cache has been introduced for work objects. This applies only when looking up work objects by ID and is scoped to the current transaction so it does not have to be synchronized across an edoras one cluster.
Please refer to the upgrade notes for more details.
Optimistic locking for forms
Optimistic locking prevents reverting changes done to the same data by another user or tab. If an end user tries to save a form but there is a newer version of the data on the server, they will receive an error. The user can then reload the updated data in either the same or a new screen (tab) and review changes. This prevents unwillingly and unknowingly overwriting changes made by someone else or even the same user in a different screen.
CSRF header and cookie name customization
It is possible to set the cookie name and header for CSRF.
Please refer to the upgrade notes for more details.
Elasticsearch index configuration
A small change was made to the IndexConfiguration
interface for the elasticsearch integration.
The parameters passed into the index configuration for indexing content changes have been updated
to allow the index configuration to decide how the content should be read.
Please refer to the upgrade notes for more details.
