Dear customer
In this release we introduce the support for byte range request in the preview for linearized PDF documents. The CMMN engine now provides support for model localization and we also improved the expression handling and enhanced the documentation. The content handling has also been improved by introducing a content manager cache.
For the detailed information see the following chapters.
Best regards,
The edorasware team
Byte range Requests
The byte range requests support for linearized PDFs enables the PDF viewer component to make multiple (smaller) requests in order to process a document progressively. The first pages of the document will be rendered as soon as they are received by the browser.
Bear in mind that only linearized PDF documents will be processed with byte range requests. All the Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents in edoras one are now linearized when converted to PDF to be previewed. The rest of the document types and non-linearized PDFs will works as usual. Chrome, Firefox and IE9+ support this feature.
Please, check the upgrade notes on how to clean up the converted documents.
CMMN Improvements
In this release the following improvements have been implemented:
-
Localization support for CMMN models has been completed.
-
Automatic forwarding to the work form of a manually started Human task has been implemented.
-
Improved expression handling. In particular, expressions and static text can now be mixed. Case name expressions are now properly handled.
-
A bug has been fixed in the area of exit sentry handling within stages with Auto Completion.
-
The CMMN documentation has been extended with a section on stage completion.
Miscellaneous
Content Manager Cache
A new cache is configured for some of the methods of the new content manager. The cache is configured in-memory by default, but it can
be configured to be managed by a redis server for a cluster configuration. Converted document content is still stored on the file system. For this purpose we introduce the new
property cacheDir
. The property points to the directory where cached files are stored. In the case of running edoras-one in cluster property should point to the shared directory
for all the cluster nodes.
Please, check the upgrade notes to prepare your cluster configuration.
