Dear customer
In this release we introduce API methods to delete a work object and its variables and the new content provider API. The deletion API is a powerful tool. That is why
deletion API usage is restricted to the Administrator
and Supervisor
groups. In the front end we introduce a much more flexible and performant engine to render views (view
engine
). This new view engine is still experimental and not enabled by default and requires a new configuration property to be present (see the upgrade notes).
Best regards,
the edorasware team
Deletion API
The deletion API allows to delete work objects and work object variables. The deletion API keeps hierarchy consistency. That is why it is not possible to delete one work object
without its children. The Deletion API is a powerful tool which can affect reporting, administration and other areas. Because of this, its usage is restricted to the
Administrator
and Supervisor
groups. To get more information about the deletion API please have a look at the documentation
here.
New view engine
The new view engine is a complete re-write of the previous implementation (form engine
) which has a much better performance and is the first step towards a much more flexible
and configurable front end platform. The new view engine is as of now in experimental state and therefore not enabled by default. In order to control its activation, a new
configuration property called experimental.view.engine.enabled
has been introduced (see the upgrade notes). It is disregarded to activate the new view
engine in production as long
as it is in experimental state.
Miscellaneous
In 1.5.0.S96 the new content provider API is updated with more features. Content provider API is still not used in the application and its support is experimental.
CMMN designer displays connector names
CMMN designer now displays connector names in the canvas area similar to the sequence flow names displayed in the process designer’s canvas.
The connector names will also be visible in the preview.
CMMN Model Id attributes are editable
The Model-Id exposed for CMMN elements in the CMMN properties pane are now editable.
The main use case is to allow modelers to pick their own name for model elements which are to be addressed from outside a model via REST or cmmnService bean calls (like for external event listeners).
If two or more elements in the model have the same model-id, a warning message is displayed so that the modeler can correct the same.
